Why is he running? Simple, he was asked. Ryan Oblander was approached by two city commissioners and asked if he could run for District 2 at the upcoming election. With a solid reputation for his persistence and fortitude, coupled with a genuine concern for his fellow neighbors and community, an open mind, and a good communicator, those elected officials saw that he was a good fit for the position.
A community leader who has lived in Lake Worth Beach since 2005, and was instrumental in forming the Sunset Ridge Neighborhood Association in 2006, and still serving as president since 2008.
A family man and a home owner.
Currently works for a web application and marketing company as a Senior Solutions Architect.
A dedicated volunteer who has given hundreds of hours of his time to his community and will continue to do so for years to come, most recently with Feeding South Florida, 2020 Census, and neighborhood cleanups.
Current board member of the Lake Worth Beach NAPC (Neighborhood Association Presidents Council).
Current PBSO Security Liaison.
Former member of the North Grade Elementary PTO (2019-2020).
Current member and former chair of the Electric Utility Advisory Board (2017-Present).
Former board member of the Palm Beach County Filmmakers (2011-2016).
Graduate of the city sponsored Lake Worth Municipal Institute (2006).
Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University.
